The Great Aussie Adventure
Back in June 2012, I decided to trade the rainy days of the U.K. for the sunny vibes of Australia. With 15 years of rocking an IT Training Company under my belt, the idea of starting a new life Down Under was like unwrapping a present ā full of excitement and joy.
Initially, my plan was to kick back, retire, bask in the Australian sunshine, and make beach dates with the ladies a regular thing. Turns out, the novelty of endless leisure wore off quicker than a summer tan, and I found myself itching for a new adventure.
Born to Be an Entrepreneur
Entrepreneurship runs in my veins from way back when. I dabbled in Direct Selling in the Beauty Industry, peddled pottery for a spell, and even orchestrated a 7-figure IT Training company that spanned the globe ā UK, Europe, the U.S.A., and of course, Australia. Restlessness got the better of me, and soon enough, I found myself setting up a Webinar Training Business in the vibrant city of Sydney.
Sure, it soared to heights of success, but reality check ā it was as stress-packed as the previous gig, and beach time was practically a myth! Who knew chasing dreams could be this exhilarating and, let's admit it, a tad sandy too? šļøš
Chasing Dreams and Sunshine: A Tale of Healing and Adventures
Imagine this: one of my wildest dreams was to juggle a successful business with globetrotting, so I dove headfirst into the world of healing work. I became a yoga instructor, organized healing retreats, and took my passion on the road.
But, let's be real ā living the dream while on a budget requires some serious creativity. How did I do it, you ask? Enter the magical world of house sitting! My quest for exploring Australia without breaking the bank began, and soon I found myself jetting off to Bali, Cyprus, Cambodia, Thailand, and Indonesia. Passport, check. Wanderlust, double check.
Fast forward to my return to Australia, and the healing retreat business was still my baby. Then, enter the scene-stealer ā my wonderful partner, Roc. We hit it off instantly, partly because we both shared the dream of travelling and partly because, let's face it, we fancied each other like crazy (still do!).
Now, confession time: I hadn't treated my healing retreat venture as a full-blown business. With successful businesses in my past, a bit of a mojo dip, and the menopause rollercoaster, I felt a bit adrift. Cue Roc, my partner in crime. We crunched the numbers, factored in our finances, and mapped out how we could make this dream life a reality.
And off we went on our adventure! From the UK to Europe, we zigzagged through France, Belgium, Germany, danced through the Swiss Alps, and got lost in the Italian ones. We cruised to Sorento, ventured south to the hidden gem of Palmi, and even cozied up with Roc's family for a couple of months.
But the adventure didn't stop there; it was time for a frosty Christmas in the UK because, believe it or not, Roc had never experienced the magic of snow. Our bags were packed, and our hearts were full as we embraced every twist and turn of our whimsical journey. šāØ
Unleashing the Fun in Online Biz Magic
So, picture this wild ride: we dipped our toes into the Network Marketing pool, had a fling with Affiliate Marketing, threw some cash into the cryptocurrency pot, and then ā drumroll, please ā I had a moment of pure genius. Lightbulbs flashing! I realized I had to circle back to what I truly adored: teaching folks how to rock the online business game.
Sure, my success-o-meter was still warming up, but deep down, I knew I could not only build my dream business but also sprinkle that magic on others. Cue the full-circle moment!
Now, here's the scoop ā I've dived headfirst into the sweet spot of my passion: teaching all things online business. I'm like the fairy godmother of IT and Social Media Marketing, guiding incredible women on the path to launching or levelling up their online ventures.
Guess what? We're not just building a business; we're creating an international playground of awesomeness. And the best part? Helping others do the same is like winning a happiness jackpot ā seriously rewarding stuff!
Time freedom? Oh, we've got that in our gratitude basket, a rare gem not everyone gets to experience. We're the captains of our own ship, making choices about where we wanna be and what we wanna do. It's like living life in an entrepreneur's wonderland!
